Welcome...

...to the 15th Beaminster Festival of Music and the Visual Arts!

Every year, the festival seems to expand and we are mindful of presenting a programme of events that appeals to all tastes and all pockets. Our website is a wonderful way to browse around all we have in store for you this summer.

You will find plenty on the menu that will tempt you to venture to this beautiful part of West Dorset and we look forward to welcoming you to Beaminster and our festival celebrations and hope too that you will enjoy all that our town has to offer.

Lying in rolling hills some 6 miles south of Crewkerne and 6 miles north of Bridport, Beaminster makes a glorious introduction to this beautiful part of Thomas Hardy's Wessex and provides a gateway to the dramatic Jurassic Coastline - now a World Heritage Site.

Musical highlights this year include the Band of the Coldstream Guards and the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain and we are hosting open air theatre in two of the most beautiful garden settings locally as well as literary talks which include Douglas Hurd, Stanley Johnson, Hilary Spurling and Jane Fearnley Whittingstall.

Beaminster is a delightful place to relax - and a walkers' paradise. There are plenty of places to eat and stay and we do recommend that you set aside a couple of days to explore and enjoy all that the festival has to offer.

Looking forward to seeing you in throughout the festival.
