We are delighted that Madalina Rusu has agreed to be with us this year to give The Deb Gillingham Memorial Concert.

Deb was a great supporter of the Festival and a Trustee for many years. She loved all music - but piano music in particular and attended every recital given by Madalina in St. Mary's Church.

Madalina's association with Beaminster goes back to the days when she left Romania to become a music student in London earlier in the decade. Her list of prizes is astounding and she has recently been awarded a prestigious Guildhall Artist Fellowship.

Deb would have delighted in Madalina's choice of programme:

Chopin - 2 Nocturnes op 27 and Ballade no.4 in F Falla - Fantasia Baetica
Ravel - Sonatine Liszt - Mephisto Waltz no. 1
