Christopher Monks and his Armonico Consort and Choir have become firm festival favourites. This year they will present a choral concert of Vivaldi's Ostro Picta and Handel's Dixit Dominus.

Armonico is to be joined in the second half of the programme by violinist, Jennifer Pike - who was last with us when she was barely a teenager and the youngest winner ever of the BBC Young Musician of the year. This year she is the first classical musician to win the prestigious 2008 South Bank Show Breakthrough Artist Award, voted by the public, and she also celebrates her 18th birthday and we are delighted to welcome her back, in this special year, to play Vivaldi's Four Seasons.
