Stornoway

27th June, The Public Hall

Stornoway are new on the West Country music scene. Formed in 2006, after a long night in a snow-covered garage in Oxford, with numb toes they decided on the name: Stornoway, nautical almanacs and the BBC weather reports being the inspiration.

The band consists of an ornithologist, a South African pirate captain, a Russian translator and a human radio. Enjoy a Hebridean headrush of folkpop, garnished with magical melodies.

Venue: The Public Hall
